Say “Hello” to Epic Instructor, Kate Chan’s, little friend, Taco! Taco is a three-year-old Chihuahua mix, who is no stranger to making himself comfortable around our studio. He is very friendly, so if you see him in the studio, please feel free to give him as many pets as you would like!
Kate and her husband, Tony, adopted Taco in 2020 from Arlington’s Lost Dog and Cat Pet Rescue. According to Kate, “The first thing we saw when Taco got out of the car with his foster family were his ears: they were in full perk mode, and Tony and I fell instantly in love!” Sadly, Taco came from a very bad situation. He weighed only five pounds when they first got him and was riddled with disease. All of that has now been rectified, and he has learned to love and trust humans again!
Taco absolutely lives for adventure, so the Pilates studio is right up his alley! He loves fetching his toys while his mom teaches, and following a client’s hand back and forth along the reformer as they do footwork, so he can collect as many pets as possible. He has also been known to give a client an encouraging lick on the hand or face when they start to get tired. He is the best assistant trainer Kate could ask for and her clients love it when he comes to visit! In addition to spending time at the studio, Taco loves going for walks and runs with his parents, sunning himself in the backyard while his Daddy does his conference calls on the back porch, looking for treats in his “puzzle game” that his parents left for him when they dare to leave him alone and eating all the Stella and Chewy’s Wild Weenies he can con out of his Mom and Dad.
Pets bring us so much happiness, so from time to time, we like to feature them in our EpicPet Corner. We would love to feature your furry friends (or feathery and even scaly!) Email us a picture and tell us what your pet does to make you laugh! Email: studio@epicpilates.com
